Student Opportunities, NET

Communications:
Assists the NET Communications team with news releases, advertising and events to build awareness for NET programs and activities. Skills required include interest and ability to write, edit and use the AP Stylebook in addition to our NET Communications style guide to generate earned media. For advertising, the student will work with a communications specialist to create ads for traditional, new and social media. We provide examples of effective advertising and training in this area as the student learns to work with the graphic design team to create ads for newspapers, e-blasts and social media like Facebook. May represent NET occasionally at public functions, along with NET staff members. Up to 20 hours per week.

Development/Fundraising:
NET Development/Fundraising is looking for a student who can work up to 20 hours per week and may include some evenings and weekends. Duties include; preparing materials for events, including logistical arrangements, researching potential partners for member benefits, updating donor records and mailing materials to donors. Good customer service skills and computer skills are required.

Business Development/Marketing:
NET Business Development/Marketing department is looking for a student who can work up to 20 hours per week and may include some evenings and weekends. This position will support the business development staff with prospecting, proposals, and sales proposal forms as well as organizing electronic files and maintaining our Salesforce database. The ideal candidate will have good oral/written communication skills; organizational skills, proficient with PowerPoint software, and be creative.
