The Glenwood Springs Post Independent is seeking a sports editor. The position is in a busy and demanding community, which requires digital publication and social media along with print. The sports editor will write, edit, design a little, handle his/her own social media and lead a small stringer network. Requirements include liking prep sports, the ability to easily establish rapport with athletic directors, coaches and players and have a soft touch with parents. There will be opportunities to feature community characters, footraces, outdoor activities, the occasional area Olympian and a new college-level, short-season baseball team.
