The Nebraska Press Association is the professional trade organization that is owned and operated by Nebraska’s newspapers. NPA is an one-order, one-bill advertising placement service and works extensively with advertising agencies and business that market their products and services regionally, statewide and nationally via NPA's newspapers and digital advertising products.
NPA is seeking an energetic intern to support a three-person advertising team. Work will consist of general office duties and extensive customer contact. No experience necessary. Skills and attributes required include:
- Ability to quickly establish rapport with business professionals over the phone
- Goal oriented/driven to succeed when confronted with challenges
- Self disciplined
- Self confident
- Basic knowledge of computer programs
- Hours will be flexible between the hours of 8:30 to 5:00 weekdays – approximately 15 hours per week. Some availability Thursdays and Fridays is required. Position could extend into the spring semester.
Compensation will be $10 per hour. There may be opportunities for bonuses in addition to the hourly wage.
