Responsibilities:
Design/create layouts and graphics to meet specific needs for print material, such as guides, cards, programs, posters, yearbooks or logos as well as digital content for web and social media. May use a variety of programs to achieve artistic effects.
Graphic Designer Job Duties:
Work with the Communications and Digital Communications staff to discuss and determine layout, design and concepts.
Set up files for the appropriate medium. Examples: print, web, in-house printing, etc.
Uses the Adobe Creative Suite to generate designs.
Obtains approval of concept by submitting the layout to invested parties.
Maintains a current archive of images, photos, or previous work products.
Works closely with direct supervisor.
Willing to learn in a fast-paced atmosphere
Student Graphic Designer Qualifications:
Enrolled in graphic design or related courses
Efficient in Adobe Creative Suite software
Has an abundance of creativity and attention to detail
Must be able to meet deadlines
Is able to handle criticism
