As a newscast producer you will be a
leader in the newsroom. NTV needs someone who has great news judgment, strong
organizational skills and excellent time management skills in Axtell, Nebraska. The right candidate will love to write, be an
excellent speller and have a full understanding of grammar within the context
of the AP style. You must be able to
write clear, concise news stories that engage our viewers. As a reporter, you will
be expected to generate story ideas and will be required to occasionally
work a
flexible schedule as dictated by the news happening around the area. Other required characteristics include: solid
shooting
and editing skills, sound judgment in reporting as well as solid writing
abilities with an aptitude for spelling and grammar. The right candidate must be exceedingly
familiar with social media and able to post stories and video to the
website.
Finally, the winning candidate MUST be a team
player who is great in public and loves to work with people from all walks of
life. The right candidate must meet strict
deadlines, handle pressure situations calmly and be a self-starter. A great attitude is an absolute must. If you are not a team player, you need not
apply.
One year producing or reporting experience
is strongly
desired but we will train the right candidate.
