We are looking for a Deputy Newsdesk Editor to help us manage our news desk and build the next great media company!

Responsibilities:
-You will assist our Newsdesk Editor in managing the newsdesk team
-Assist with the following: assigning stories; editing copy; writing strong headlines; selecting featured images; pushing reporters on pace, length and quality; promoting stories on social platforms
Qualifications:
-At least one year in a full-time editing role, or 2 years reporting experience
-Demonstrated interest in news and the evolution of the media industry
-Ability to write clearly, cleanly and quickly
-Positive attitude and ability to thrive in high pressure news environment
-Desire to learn new skills and grow professionally
-Flexible to work outside traditional schedule
