We’re currently hiring for a fall reporting intern. The position is part-time, mostly on the weekends, and pays $9/hour. Interns get hands-on reporting experience in our newsroom, covering general assignments, the cops beat and breaking news. We generally look for students with some experience at the DN and/or other newspapers. It’s a wonderful opportunity for a student to sharpen their reporting chops under the mentorship of Journal Star editors and reporters.
