The News in Waverly, NE is looking for a community-minded journalist to become our next news/sports editor. You will be responsible for gathering news and editorial content, production of printed newspaper and online content and all functions involving news and sports.
You will also work directly with staff at sister newspapers to help produce valuable stories and photographs for our coverage area. Night and weekend assignments are a part of the duties.
Bachelor’s degree in journalism or related field and experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person. This is a full-time position, with benefits available.
