Position is responsible for shooting single camera video productions, editing, creating graphics, and operating studio and remote television cameras and graphics systems. Position will perform simpler styles of single camera productions without direction and shoot more complex single camera productions with direct supervision until skill levels are sufficient to advance to position of videographer/editor.
Minimum required qualifications:
Associate’s degree in broadcasting or related field plus two (2) years’ related experience; equivalent education/experience will be considered.
A working knowledge of a cross-section of production tools including television cameras, computer graphics, editing systems, lighting and audio equipment. Knowledge of a multiple video formats and range of production techniques from very simple to moderately complex. Basic computer skills; Editing skills; Computer graphic skills. Ability to position a camera and compose and shoot technically and aesthetically pleasing pictures.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in broadcasting or equivalent experience. Experience in multi-camera studio, remote, and/or single camera efp shooting, basic editing, and computer graphics or equivalent. Ability to make decisions under pressure; to work with and learn from co-workers; to interact with clients and the public in a diplomatic, professional, and credible way.
