Business Development Associate - TransitScreen (Washington, DC)

We are looking for a Business Development Associate to build out our expanding team. You’ll be the first point of customer contact, making you responsible for educating and evangelizing the TransitScreen brand. You’ll learn and cultivate the skills needed to succeed in a sales organization by hitting weekly and monthly engagement targets.

Our ideal candidate is a creative, detail-oriented self-starter. They have excellent communication skills and sound great on the phone.

You will report to our Business Development Team Lead and will coordinate with our sales and marketing teams to help achieve the company’s goals.

What you'll be doing:
> Proactively manage all communications with a high volume of prospective customers across verticals
> Own geographic markets while managing and growing a robust pipeline
> Build and cultivate relationships via email and phone to set meetings for sales
> Screen prospective customers to ensure that they meet our product market fit
> Learn and cultivate interest in, and understanding of, our company, product, and deployment
> Use Salesforce to manage and track the lead pipeline, communications activity and customer meetings

Qualifications you have:
> Ability to balance and prioritize responsibilities
> A deep understanding of TransitScreen’s mission and value proposition (or the willingness to develop it)
> Excellent communication and research skills
