Marketing-Communications Intern for Arts – Medici (Lincoln, NE)

Most Esteemed Donors, Intellects, Colleagues and Individuals (Medici) is looking for a Marketing-Communications Intern to identify, oversee, and coordinate all marketing-communications efforts. Medici is a 501c3 not-for-profit organization with the purpose of supporting and promoting the Hixson Lied College of visual arts.

Intern responsibilities would include: creating marketing materials, hands-on event coordination, and promoting art department activities, events and excellence among similar art departments nationwide.

Skills and qualifications: content writing/creation for multiple platforms, materials, and audiences, posting and managing of social media and web sites, editing and proofreading, brand initiatives, graphic design/layout, and utilizing the associated computer software. Some knowledge of analyzing and evaluating results, trends, desired outcome, etc. Public relations and event planning, execution and coordinating. Applicants will be highly organized, detail-oriented and understand the importance of building and maintaining professional internal and external relationships.

About Medici: Twenty-five (25) years ago Bob Culver, Jim Eisentrager, and Joe Ruffo – with the help of faculty, including Dan Howard – formed a support group for the School of Art, Art History & Design at the University of Nebraska - Lincoln. At the time Bob was an alumnus, Jim a professor, and Joe was the chairman of the school. MEDICI was designed to be a friends group that raised money exclusively for the School of Art, Art History & Design. Over the years this group of esteemed donors has raised over $260,000 for the school.
