The Social Media/Marketing Intern functions as a key member of the team managing the Lied Center’s social media brand and serves as a general marketing assistant to the department:
> Work with Lied Center Communications Manager and Associate Director of Marketing & Patron Development to establish social media strategy and goals
> Plan and execute timely social media initiatives on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, etc.
> Collaborating with Lied Center designers, create compelling written and visual content for social campaigns, email marketing and other initiatives
> Design and execute innovative social media strategies to expand reach and engagement of Lied Center patrons
> Assist with database management and campaign response reporting
Minimum Required Qualifications:
Strong writing skills and proficiency in standard Microsoft Office programs including Word and Excel is essential. The ability to work independently and efficiently; organization and a self-driven initiative are needed. Some evening hours will be required on occasion to help staff performances and special events.
Preferred Qualifications:
Enthusiastic and avid participant in social media and internet communities currently. Previous interest in or knowledge of the performing arts desirable, but not required.
