Play-by-Play Announcer (part-time) - Flood Communications (Nebraska City, NE)

Flood Communications, Inc. in Nebraska City (KBIE and KNCY) has an immediate opening for a high-energy, aggressive, creative and hard-working part-time play-by-play announcer for high school sports in southeast Nebraska, southwest Iowa and northwest Missouri. Coverage will include high school football, volleyball, basketball, baseball, and will also include Peru State College athletics, such as football, volleyball, basketball and baseball.

The successful candidate should have the ability to communicate action to listeners clearly and effectively. The successful candidate should also be able to contact activities' directors to set-up broadcast plans, reach out to area coaches to obtain information for the broadcast, put together preview and postgame stories (with photos and/or video) for air on radio, web and News Channel Nebraska television.

Knowledge of and ability to operate broadcasting equipment, including TieLine is helpful, but willing to train the right candidate. We're looking for a knowledgeable sportscaster who will engage the audience, be active in the sports community, build on the successes of the station, and take our sports coverage to the next level.

This position is located in Nebraska City, NE. Broadcasting nights would be primarily Tuesday and Friday nights, with the occasional Thursday and Saturday.
