Personnel Changes

Listed below are Extension personnel changes that have occurred recently. If we have missed someone who is new or who has left our system, please contact Sheryl Burbach.

Cole Meador - Extension Assistant - Lancaster County

Cole earned his B.S. in Agricultural Leadership, Education and Communication from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in December 2010. His current position responsibilities are the Lancaster County 4-H livestock program coordinator, 4-H speech and the Agriculture Awareness festival.

Dave Specht – Coordinator of Family Business Programs – College of Business

Dave earned his B.S. in Business Management from Brigham Young University-Idaho and his MSBA in Finance and Tax Planning from San Diego State University. He is a certified financial planner. Dave’s responsibilities include: Lecturer in Family Business Management (1 Section in College of Business in Fall, 1 Section in Ag Economics in Spring, 1 Section in College of Business in Spring), Outreach Programs in Family Business Succesison throughout the State, Creation of Family Business Alumni Association, Creation of Nebraska Family Business Newsletter and the Publication of Family Business articles. Dave’s desire is for Nebraska to be known as "The Family Business State" and to have the resources, curriculum, research and international prestige in this discipline. The University of Nebraska will become the source for business-owning families in the state and beyond. Dave’s appointment is split between the College of Business, Ag Economics and Extension Education.
