Shavers featured in ABA Blog; Vice Chair of the ALRP Institute; panelist on human trafficking

Professor Anna Shavers was featured in Notice and Comment, a blog by the ABA Section of Administrative Law and Regulatory Practice. Shavers is the current vice chair of the section.

On April 3-4, Shavers was in Washington, DC to chair the 9th Annual Administrative Law and Regulatory Practice Institute which focused on Critical Issues in Regulation. Shavers was one of thirty law professionals from across the country to participate in the two day event.

Shavers was also part of a panel assembled to discuss human trafficking issues at the Nebraska Human Trafficking Summit on April 22. Other panelists included Senator Amanda Gill; Paster Tom Barber, executive director of the People's City Mission; Leticia Monifas, executive director of Central Nebraska Human Trafficking & Immigration Outreach; Allie Busch, student president NUSAMS; John Freudenberg, assistant attorney general; Mike Smith, director of The Bay; Christopher Webster, Lincoln Public Schools; and, a survivor of sex trafficking.
