Professor Alan Tomkins has been named the winner of a national award for contributions to the administration of justice by the American Judges Association. Tomkins will receive the Glenn R. Winters Award, which the AJA gives to recognize a non-judge who has significantly contributed to the administration of justice.
Tomkins, the director of the University of Nebraska Public Policy Center, was recognized for his work in editing two legal journals; in making social science information accessible to the legal community; and his work through the Center in assisting courts.
