Professor Anna Shavers moderated a College of Law, CLE-approved panel discussion, "Combatting Human Trafficking Through Prevention, Prosecution and Partnerships," in October. Panelists included Anita Sheth, senior advisor, social compliance and development for Fairtrade International in Bonn, Germany; Theresa Flores, a human trafficking survivor, victim's advocate, and author of "The Slave Across the Street" and "Sacred Bath;" and John Higgins, assistant U.S. Attorney for the District of Nebraska.
