Canned Immunity Food Drive

November 18 - 22

It's that time of year again!
The Annual Canned Immunity Food Drive is an event sponsored by the Student Bar Association on behalf of the College of Law every year in an effort to support the Food Bank of Lincoln and our community in the fight against hunger.

As an ongoing tradition, there will be a contest between the 1L's, 2L's, 3L's and faculty, as to which group can collect the most canned food items to donate. If you are a 1L and your professor participates, you may be immune from the “Socratic Method” by presenting a can for the food bank. However, professors may negate your donation by also contributing a can. To ensure immunity, come prepared with multiple cans. Canned Immunity is the week immediately before your Open Memo is due. This is a great opportunity for you to “catch a break” and support a wonderful cause.

According to the Food Bank of Lincoln’s website, 1 out of every 8 children in the United States goes to bed hungry every night. Please participate! This is about fighting hunger and making a positive contribution to our community, not just about competition. This is the season to give thanks, and there is no better way to do so than by giving to those in need!

Thank you in advance for your participation and making Canned Immunity a success!

*Please Note*
Due to class schedules and timing issues, some 1L professors are not able to participate in Canned Immunity. Please check with your respective instructors before the food drive commences.
