What's that, you ask?
An annual "Welcome and Welcome Back!" party: an evening of great company, conversation, food, drink, and trivia! The event is hosted by Judge Jan Gradwohl, and her daughter and son-in-law, Jill and Jeff Schroeder, all UNL Law alumni, together with the Multicultural Legal Society and the Black Law Students Association. So join us! Again, the party is open to all students!
To celebrate Hispanic month the theme is "Latino Night" with appetizers and dinner including signature Latino American dishes! Beer, wine, and soda will be provided as well.*
So after a long week of classes and work, not to mention the Mel Shinn events (which we hope you're all signing up for!), come spend the evening with us. The Schroeders graciously open their home to any and all law students providing us with a wonderful opportunity to mingle with and get to know each other, the faculty and also some prominent members of the local legal community!
Can only make if for a portion of the evening? That's okay! Social hour with drinks and appetizers starts at 5:30pm and dinner will be served at 6:30pm. Last but not least, there will be a Trivia Contest at 7:30pm with the top 3 teams earning prizes! Not to mention bragging rights over your classmates... and maybe even a professor! So get a group together or come alone and we'll put you on a team. There will also be board games available for your enjoyment throughout the evening!
Again, everyone is welcome--you don't have to be a member of MCLS/BLSA to attend. And as in the past, spouses, significant others, and children are more than welcome! So put away your books for a night and come out and enjoy a relaxing evening of food, drink, and games at Trivia Night at the Schroeder's! See you there!

In addition there will be vegetarian dishes supplied but please indicate in your RSVP e-mail if you have other dietary restrictions.
*Please plan accordingly and drink responsibly. Additionally, we want to make sure for the Schroeders' sake that no minors are served alcohol so please be vigilant regarding underage attendees you are bringing.*

Below is some information you may find helpful in making your decision…the more students involved in SBA allows us to sponsor more and better quality events throughout the school year. A lot of these events are the highlights of the year and are part of the wonderful experience at Nebraska!
Unfortunately, on a different note, due to a miscommunication with the front office, some individuals paid $125 rather than the $135 before school started. We apologize for this error. We will be offering a refund of the $25 to those individuals who do not wish to pay the remaining balance of $10 to have the full three year membership in SBA and ABA, but do wish to remain at the $100 level for three years of SBA and one year of ABA. If you believe you are one of those individuals, please feel free to contact me, otherwise look for a later email we will be sending out to those of you who did so.
