SIP works to educate the student body and the public about the problem of wrongful convictions, as well as support reforms in the criminal justice system that will help prevent the conviction of innocent people in the future.
On a monthly basis, our members meet with the Nebraska Innocence Project. At these meetings, we hear about and help with individuals imprisoned in Nebraska seeking assistance to prove their wrongful conviction. 2Ls and 3Ls are able to receive pro bono hours for this service.
Please feel free to stop by and learn more!
Thank you from the Student Innocence Project executive board,
