Nebraska Law Students Discuss the Constitution with Lincoln 8th Graders

On September 17th, Constitution Day, members of Nebraska Law’s Community Legal Education Project visited Lincoln area elementary school to work with students and educate them about the United States Constitution. Students visited 8 schools and spoke with 90 US History classes teaching LPS students about the three branches of government, debated over mandatory school uniforms and, finally, discussed whether a school should be able to discipline students for online comments even if they are made outside of school. CLEP’s community outreach was featured in this Lincoln Journal Star article: http://bit.ly/1qhhH7H; and you can find out more about Nebraska Law’s student organizations at http://law.unl.edu/organizations/.
