3L Employment Brown Bag
Monday, March 16
12:10pm-1:00pm
Location: Room #111
This brown-bag lunch in Room 111 is geared toward 3Ls interested in talking about the legal market, job searches and expectations. Dean Everman plans to spend just a bit of time at the beginning on a power point presentation going over the latest national statistics and comparing them to our own. These stats can help put your own search into perspective. Dean Everman will plan to go over some search strategies and take questions you may have about best practices on reaching out to employers who are not posting, following up with employers after interviews, the importance of keeping track of your outreach efforts, etc.

3L One-on-One Appointments
We are reaching out to all 3Ls to ask that each of you take time to touch base with the CSO in the next few weeks. As part of your graduation packet that Vicki Lill will distribute in mid-April, you will be asked to complete the graduate survey in ROSCOE. We have already made the Graduate Survey available to you (under your profile tab) so you can fill it out at any time. This survey, however, is a poor substitute for a one-on-one meeting. Even if you have already accepted employment, please consider this short meeting an exit interview.

Heather and Tasha will both be here over spring break if that is a good time for you to meet. You are also welcome to set up a phone call if that is more convenient. You can stop by, call, or email lawcareer@unl.edu to set up a time. Depending on your situation, the meetings could vary from 5 minutes to 30 minutes. If you are still seeking employment, these meetings are especially important so we can better assist you in your search.
