We have an exciting week ahead. On Wednesday and Thursday, U.S. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas will be at the Law College attending classes. He will give a presentation sponsored by the Nebraska Bar Foundation’s Roman L. Hruska Institute for the Administration of Justice on Thursday at Noon in the auditorium. I encourage you to attend this presentation, which will be a public conversation among Justice Thomas and the Law College’s constitutional law professors.
There are also many opportunities to interact with Justice Thomas.
All of the 1L students will have the opportunity to interact with Justice Thomas in a combined 1L Property class on Wednesday at 2:30 pm. This class will be held in the auditorium.
All 2L’s who are in Professor Berger’s Constitutional Law class and any student from Professor Duncan’s Constitutional Law class who is free from 10:30-11:30 on Thursday can join Professor Berger’s class, which will be held in the auditorium.
Justice Thomas will also be in my Legal Profession class at 3:15 on Thursday. I can add about 20 students to that class, so please contact me if you would like to attend that class and you do not have another opportunity to interact with Justice Thomas while he is here.
There is also a lottery underway for breakfast with Justice Thomas on Wednesday.
Finally, the Law College reunions are on Friday of this week, so there will be many alumni of the Law College roaming the halls, attending alumni council meetings, and taking tours of our beautiful building. I have found that our alumni are always very interested in our current students, so please feel free to say hello and talk with them.
Have a great week!
