Join Thomas Drake, Jessalyn Radack, Esq. and Associate Dean Richard Moberly on Tuesday, September 27 at noon for "A Perfect Storm: National Security, Civil Liberties and Ethics in a Post 9/11 World."

The presentation will discuss the various duties and obligations of citizens and attorneys to report wrongdoing related to national security, as well as the laws that may (or may not) protect them when they blow the whistle. These duties, obligations, and potential protections underwent significant changes after the September 11 attacks, after which the government took a much more active role in protecting national security with a much more limited view of civil liberties and transparency in government. These changes have a profound impact on the ethical responsibilities of government employees and attorneys when confronted with potential government misconduct against the backdrop of a new and constantly changing legal landscape.
