Advising Updates

Mr. Doug Pellatz

Hello Math Majors,

We are now in the second week of Priority Enrollment for the Spring 2020 semester, which is when sophomores and freshmen finally get the opportunity to enroll in classes. My calendar for the week of November 4 thru November 8 is still pretty open, but I doubt that it will remain this way. So, please schedule an appointment with me as soon as possible to talk about classes for Spring 2020 semester.

This can be the point of the semester where projects, exams, and homework can run together as we approach the Thanksgiving Holiday. If you do not have system to keep track of everything and manage your time, you really need to create or start using a system to do so. I know that this can be a very stressful time, so don't forget to take a moment for yourself from time to time.

Lastly, it also a great idea to double check your MyRed account for an holds that you may have. If you have Hold on your enrollment for the Spring 2020, MyRed will have a message explaining what you need to do to get the hold removed. I would be happy to help if you have any questions about a particular hold on your account.

@huskers.unl.edu Email Address

Starting this summer, ALL University email messages are going to your @huskers.unl.edu email address regardless of your email preferences on MyRed. You MUST check your @huskers.unl.edu email address regularly to stay up-to-date with important announcements from the University. If you would like more information about this change, please visit https://its.unl.edu/helpcenter/student-email-migration/ and review the current student tab of information. All students will be expected to be reviewing their @huskers.unl.edu email address, so if you miss an important piece of information sent to this email, you will be held responsible for it. If you know your fellow classmates haven't switched over to using their @huskers.unl.edu email address, PLEASE give them this information.

Thanks,
Doug
