GRA Position at Texas Tech

Dear UNL Math Students,

I am supporting a graduate research assistant in 2022-2023 to study mathematical models for seasonal ecosystems. The goal is to use numerical simulations to assess how seasonal events change our expectations of population outcomes. This project is appropriate for anyone considering a PhD in mathematics and interested in ecological modelling. The content is accessible to an incoming graduate student, so you can jump right into research at the start of your graduate career.

I received this funding through a grant to broaden participation in mathematics, so students belonging to groups historically excluded from STEM are encouraged to apply. Any interested student can email me if they have questions about the position! This flyer has additional details, including a link to a short video I recorded about the project.

Best wishes,
