Math Motivators Event
On Wednesday, October 20 from 5-6:30 pm in 204 Hawks Hall, the Math Motivators program will host an event with multiple goals including the following:
- the basics of effective tutoring, how to engage students effectively, asking them questions, letting them take the lead as much as possible;
- the AVID tutoring methodology and what tutoring with AVID looks like;
- how the AVID and Math Motivators Virtual Tutoring Center works; and
- opportunities to tutor K-12 students in Mathematics in-person in Lincoln and virtual across the country.
This event will be presented by Dillon Walker, UNL Math Alumni, and Korri Rich from AVID.
