Grants to Attend MAA MathFest 2022
The UNL Department of Mathematics has the funding to support a few undergraduate students to attend the MAA MathFest 2022 on August 3-6, 2022 at the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This funding will include the conference registration fee, travel expenses, and hotel costs.
A fellow undergraduate student described virtual MathFest in 2021 as follows: "This was an extremely enriching experience for me, as I was exposed to new areas of research in math and heard inspiring talks from a wide variety of speakers. In addition to the conference itself, the fee included a year-long membership to MAA. Through this membership, I have made new connections and discovered new opportunities that have helped me succeed as a student."
Students will need to provide the following:
• Number of years of college completed;
• Current Cumulative GPA;
• List of Math courses completed, grades achieved, and course instructors;
• One reference who can be contacted (this is optional, but encouraged);
• and a response to the question, Why do you want to attend MAA MathFest 2022?
