National First Gen Celebration Week Events
November 7-11 is National First Generation Week, which will be mark by a series on events on November 8th, 9th, and 10th. First Generation students, staff, and faculty are encouraged to participate in the events through the week.
Tuesday, November 8th
First Gen Fair
11:00 am - 1:00 pm | NU Food Court
Departments from all across campus will have booths highlighting their resources for first gen students. Join us for games, giveaways, photo booth, and more.
First Gen Success Celebration
4:00 pm - 5:00 pm | NU Heritage Room
University Career Services will be hosting a First Gen Student Success Celebration to recognize senior First Gen students and give them the opportunity to share insights and advice to younger First Gen Students. Join us for snacks, conversation, and celebrating First Gen successes!

Share-A-Meal
11:30 am - 1:30 pm | East Campus Union Cafe
No RSVP Required. Enjoy a free meal while connecting with peers and fellow first gen students, staff and faculty.

Show Your First Gen Pride!
Show your First Gen pride with us! Wear your First Gen SWAG (T-shirts, Buttons, etc.). Spotters will be passing out prizes to those we see proudly representing first-gen.
