Undergraduate Coordinator for AGAM
The Mathematics Department is looking for the next undergraduate coordinator of the AGAM high school summer camp. Any student who enjoys working with high-school-aged students is welcome to apply.
Job position: Undergraduate Coordinator for AGAM: Nebraska Cryptography Camp, Summer 2023
Eligibility: Undergraduate student at UNL
Responsibility: Work with the staff in Math and the Center for Science, Mathematics & Computer Education on the following things:
- Assist faculty with reviewing applications
- Communicate with applicants and their parents (email and by phone)
- Prepare and update documents for camp/event coordination tasks
- Plan networking activities and help organize guest speakers for the camp
- Act as chaperone and host with students at camp, approx. 8:30-4:30 each day June 11-16
- Other office duties as assigned
Work period: approx. February 15 – June 30, 2023
- 5-10 hours per week from February to mid-May
- 25-40 hours per week from mid-May to June 30
Work location: 203 Avery Hall and 251 Avery Hall
Payment: $12 per hour (but $15 per hour for the week of the camp June 11-16)
