USGS Nebraska Water Science Center Opportunities
The USGS Nebraska Water Science Center has a couple student vacancies that will be advertised on USA Jobs February 1, 2023 through February 15, 2023 or until 50 applicants have applied.
The vacancy is for Pathways Interns, to be student trainees in Hydrology. They do this usually every winter, to get extra field help for the summer season and beyond; this year they are looking for 1-2 students. Students typically work full time over the summer and longer school breaks, and part time, around their class schedule, during the semesters.
Students typically would be in some sort of natural resources / geology / hydrology / engineering program of study and gain valuable professional experience (and decent pay) while they are working on their degree. Frequently these candidates are pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree (sophomore or junior) but we have had graduate students in this program as well.
