Math Department Scholarship Application for 2023-24
The Math Department Scholarship Application for Current Students is open NOW! The deadline to complete an application for the 2024-25 academic year is Monday, May 20th at 5 pm! At this time, it looks like we will be able to award scholarships to both Math and CAS Data Science majors!
Many of our current Math and CAS Data Science majors majors who apply receive scholarships that range from $500 to as much as $4,000 or more per year from one of the following scholarship funds:
• The Linda Bors Mathematics Scholarship,
• The Irwin Dubinsky Memorial Scholarship (maybe open to CAS Data Science majors),
• The Chivukula & Emani Scholarship for Mathematics,
• The Dean H. and Floreen G. Eastman Scholarship (maybe open to CAS Data Science majors),
• The Gallup UNL Math Day Scholarship,
• The Sylvia and Hans Jeans Mathematics Scholarship (will be open to CAS Data Science majors),
• The Mike and Jo McGuire Scholarship (maybe open to CAS Data Science majors if minoring in Math),
• The Rennemann/Luebbers Scholarship in Mathematics,
• The Dr. Hubert Schneider Memorial Scholarship (maybe open to CAS Data Science majors),
• The Joel Stebbins Scholarship (maybe open to CAS Data Science majors),
• The Drusilla Winchester Scholarship (maybe open to CAS Data Science majors),
• and The Ruby Matzke Whittemore Scholarship.
Some of these scholarships are available to non-Nebraska resident students.
All current Math and CAS Data Science majors including those who were awarded a full or partial Eastman Scholarships as incoming freshmen or who were awarded scholarships in past years are required to complete the current student application to be considered for scholarships for the next academic year.
