Course Preview for Fall 2019

The Math Club's Course Preview for Fall 2019 is this Thursday, March 28 from 5 to 6 pm in 351 Avery Hall. Come find out about upper level math classes for the Fall 2019 semester from the instructors teaching these classes. The Fall 2019 courses that will likely be discussed are

MATH 417: Group Theory,
MATH 424: Partial Differential Equations,
MATH 430: Ordinary Differential Equations,
MATH 435: Math in the City,
MATH 450: Combinatorics, and
MATH 487: Probability Theory.

You also might get a little information about MATH 309: Introduction to Mathematical Proofs, which is a new course for the Fall 2019 semester. Pizza and pop will be provided!

1st UNL Undergraduate Math Day

The UNL Math Club is hosting its inaugural quiz bowl-style Math Day for undergraduates on Saturday, March 30th at 1:00 pm in 106 Avery Hall. Students of ALL MAJORS who have taken some or all of the MATH 106, 107, 208, 221, and 314 courses are highly encouraged to participate!

Please RSVP with your name, major, and school year to unlmathclub@gmail.com for a chance to earn prizes, make friends, and most of all, have fun! Sign up by yourself or create a team of up to four to show off your math skills.
