TMFD Summer 2023 Courses
The Department of Textiles, Merchandising, & Fashion Design will be offering three course this summer that fulfill ACE requirements. These courses are as follows:
TMFD 123: Clothing & Society: You Are What You Wear for ACE 9
8-Week Session | June 19th - August 10th
Learn how dress and appearance reflect and impact human behavior. Examine and discuss a range of cultural and social groups and their habits of dress and appearance.
TMFD 144: Introduction to Design Theory & Criticism for ACE 2
2nd 5-Week Session | July 10th - August 10th
Learn to analyze, interpret, and evaluate artworks and designs. Recognize the impact of an artist/designer's personal, social, and cultural contexts on the creation of visual forms and meanings.
NEW TMFD 121: Communication for the Textile & Apparel Industry for ACE 2
2nd 5-Week Session | July 10th - August 10th
Create visual media for the textile and apparel industry. Tailor your messaging to various consumers. Styling and art direction, social media campaigns, event productions, and more!
All three courses will be offered in a completely online format during the Summer 2023 semester.
