NRES 208: Climate Literacy in Natural Resources

For the Fall 2023 semester, the NRES 208: Climate Literacy in Natural Resources course will be taught at 9-9:50 am in Hardin Hall Room 163 by Professor Michael Hayes.

The NRES 208 course is for students who want to learn about climate and its impacts on our natural resources. You will develop an understanding of the climate system and the interactions with the environment.

Learning Outcomes:
#1: Literacy regarding the climate system and the issues of climate variability and change.
#2: Knowledge of the six different spheres of the climate system: atmosphere, hydrosphere, biosphere, cryosphere, lithosphere, and anthroposphere.
#3: Understanding of the key linkages between climate and natural resources.

Prerequisites:
- None

The NRES 208 course is a requirement of the Applied Climate Science minor, and it could be an interesting elective course depending on your after graduation plans.
