SUMMER 2024 FORECASTING INTERNSHIP
We are now accepting applications at our State College, PA, and Wichita, KS, offices for forecasting internships during the summer of 2024!
These internships feature a combination of forecasting responsibilities and project work, helping students gain invaluable knowledge and hands-on experience in operational meteorology.
Several of the qualifications and core competencies we are looking for in candidates include:
• Full-time junior or senior student (graduating December 2024 or May 2025) status enrolled in a meteorology or atmospheric science program.
• Solid understanding of meteorology and how the weather operates.
• Is currently enrolled or has previously taken a forecasting course.
• Involvement in various campus activities that include forecasting, such as Campus Weather Service, doing forecasts for the campus newspaper, radio, TV, and/or website, forecasting contests.
• Excellent communication and people skills.
NOTE: The internship application will close in early February.
METEOROLOGIST OPENING
We are looking for a Meteorologist to join our expert forecasting team at AccuWeather Headquarters in State College, PA. This full-time, on-site position is open to candidates of all experience levels.
Several of the core competencies we are looking for in candidates include:

• Someone that thrives in a collaborative environment.
• Creativity to develop innovative storytelling aspects of a weather forecast.
• Solid meteorological knowledge and forecasting skills.
