CANCELLED: Dinosaurs and Disasters

Based on recent construction updates, the difficult decision was made to cancel Dinosaurs & Disasters this year. I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding. Although we are disappointed, we are looking forward to making 2025 bigger and better than ever!
The Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences (EAS) teams up with the museum every year to host Dinosaurs and Disasters. Since 2005, this has been the largest annual outreach event for the museum. Faculty, graduate students, and undergraduates in EAS work together to come up with interactive stations based around a theme (this year's theme is Tomorrowland). The stations need to be hands on and geared towards kids of all ages.
We really need the help of the students to make this event a success. This is a good way to get to know the students and faculty in the department and it is also a great item to add to your resume. No prior knowledge is needed to help with the stations as the station leads will get you up to speed with anything that you need to know. You can also host your own station!
Due to delays in construction at the museum, we will need to reschedule Dinosaurs & Disasters. The new date will be Saturday, March 2nd. If you are hosting a station, please touch base with all of the volunteers at your station to make sure the new date works for them. If this new date works better with your schedule and you would like to host a station, you are welcome to add a new one to the list. We are also looking for volunteers to help with some of our existing stations. If you would like to participate, please go to the link above and add your name to the volunteer list at the bottom of the page and we'll put you in touch with a station lead.
