Hello Meteorology-Climatology Majors,
I hope you are doing well and that you were able to enjoy your Labor Day Holiday week. This week marks an important point of the Fall 2024 semester as it is your last chance to make major changes to your schedule. Today (Tuesday, September 3rd) is the last day to enroll in a course for the Fall 2024 semester without special permission, and today (Tuesday, September 3rd) is the last to drop a course for the Fall 2024 and receive a 100% tuition refund. If you are going to make a significant change to your Fall 2024 semester schedule without needing a lot of special permissions, it must be today (Tuesday, September 3rd). Please keep this mind as you work through classes today.
Friday, September 6th is the last day to drop a course for the Fall 2024 semester to have the course removed from your record as well as to receive a 75% tuition refund. While you will need special permission to enroll in any classes, this is another significant chance to change your schedule for the fall semester. If you have questions, my advising availability is listed below, and I would be very happy to help.
Since your course schedule for the fall must be mostly settled by the end of this week, this is the week to truly settle into your fall semester schedule. I encourage you to make the choices about when it makes sense to study and to do homework around your class times and other commitments. When making these choices, be realistic about what you can commit to for the rest of the semester. For example, don't commit yourself to studying on Friday evenings and/or Saturday mornings if you know that you won't be able to do it regularly. Need help with doing this? The CAS Academic Navigator, the CAST Academic Success Coaches, and I would be glad to help.
