Hello! I am happy to be joining the College of Arts and Sciences Academic Advising team and excited to begin working with the undergraduate students pursuing the degree program in microbiology! I previously worked with undergraduate students in the Department of Statistics and have been a part of the advising community at UNL for nearly one year.
I am originally from Omaha, NE, but I spent 20 years living in Wyoming. The majority of that time was spent in Laramie, WY, and at the University of Wyoming. My personal background is in the humanities, but I have worked with STEM majors in my role as an academic advisor. I am a first generation, non-traditional student and believe education is a lifelong journey.
Outside of academic advising, I enjoy reading, photography, spending time in the great outdoors, and spoiling my dog. His name is Chaplin and I am always happy to share pictures and to tell the tale of how he rescued me.
