If you are chosen to be a UNL Noyce Master Teaching Fellow, you will be supported in your growth as a science teacher leader, enhancing your knowledge of innovative, equity-focused, and inclusive science teaching and learning to increase student interest and success in science. During this five-year program, you will receive an $11,000 annual salary supplement and have the opportunity to:
• Obtain a certificate in educational leadership in addition to an Educational Specialist (Ed.S) degree or Ph.D. in education through the University of Nebraska-Lincoln
• Become a National Board-certified teacher
• Participate in annual summer professional development institutes
• Lead the development of inclusive science education and teacher leadership activities
• Join a national community of NSF Noyce Master Teaching Fellows (MTFs)

You are eligible to be a UNL Noyce Master Teaching Fellow program if you meet the following criteria:
1. Have a minimum of five complete years of full-time classroom teaching experience (not including student teaching experience) by the end of the 2023-24 school year
2. Have completed or are on track to complete a master’s degree in science (MS) or science education/teaching (MA) by December 31, 2023
3. Commit to teaching for five years to complete the requirements of the Noyce MTF fellowship and receive all five years of the salary supplement
4. Be currently employed as a full-time secondary science classroom teacher in a Nebraska high-need school or district (visit the NDE website https://nep.education.ne.gov/ to determine whether your school or district meets the updated requirements detailed in the graphic)
