Join University of Nebraska State Museum educators and education interns to explore how all the beautiful colors we see intersect with the world of science. Hands-on activities are included with museum admission.
Here are some of the exciting activities planned:
- Primary Color Explorer: Learn about the difference between the primary colors of light and the primary colors of pigment.
- Eye Anatomy Lab: Explore the anatomy of the inner eye and test your own vision, challenging your cones and rods.
- Hidden Messages: Uncover the message that is hidden with polarized film. Learn about light characteristics and the function of polarized filters.
- Camouflage Challenge: Challenge your eye-spy skills and attempt to spot some camouflaged animals. Learn about the role of color in nature and explore color-changing animals.
- Prism and Lens Lab: Experiment with prisms and lenses and explore how they affect light.
