Find NEWP at Durham Teachers' Night and Plum Creek Literacy Festival

Find Nebraska Writing Project at some of Nebraska's educator events this Fall.

We'll be at Durham Teacher's Night on Friday Oct 6th, where teachers can get a complimentary meal, drink tickets, admission to the Durham Museum, and gift bag. They have a new exhibit on Julia Childs that will be available to teachers before the general public.

We'll be at a booth with our friends from the Oxbow Writing Project--consider meeting up with NeWP friends, or stopping by when you're there to say hello to our friendly board members. Registration is free but required.

You can also find us at Plum Creek Literacy Conference, on the adult conference day (Saturday). There will be sessions with authors, illustrators, and literacy educators, such as UNL's Julia Schleck, who will be talking about protecting intellectual freedom and access to books in today's teaching context; the Nebraska Forest Service, which will be presenting on nature-based education; and Georgia Heard, an award-winning author of a book on poems and mindfulness. Registration required. We'll be there at the NeWP booth between sessions!

Feel free to reach out about other literacy or educator events where you'd like to see NeWP.
