'Fridays in Fall' highlights free student-focused events happening on campus on Fridays from Fall Break to the end of the semester. All students are welcome.

DIWALI NIGHT, hosted by Malaysian Student Association
6 to 10 p.m. @ University Suites multipurpose room
Diwali is a major cultural event celebrated by Hindus, Jains, Sikhs and some Buddhists around the world in late October or early November. The five-day-long festival of lights marks new beginnings and the triumph of good over evil, and light over darkness, coinciding with the harvest season. Homes, shops, and buildings are brightly illuminated with candles and lamps; friends and family feast together and share gifts; and Lakshmi - the Hindu goddess of prosperity and wealth - is worshiped as the bringer of blessings for the new year.

COUNTRY DANCE NIGHT, hosted by Campus Night Life
7 to 11 p.m. @ Nebraska Union Ballroom
featuring the Lucas Minor Band
Kick your heels up with dancing and fun to country tunes.
At 7 p.m. dance lessons will happen to teach the steps to the popular country dance moves. At 8 p.m., the Lucas Minor Band takes the stage to play music and entertain the crowd.

DISNEY TRIVIA CONTEST, hosted by Nebraska Unions
7 to 9 p.m. @ Nebraska Union The Crib
Enjoy a free Disney-themed trivia game night. Students are divided into 5-person teams and compete against each other to see who can correctly answer the most questions about all-things-Disney, from the very early old stuff to the very recent years.
Bring friends to make your own teams or form a team when you arrive.
Open to UNL students only—must show NCard at entrance. Snacks and beverages are provided.
