Make “Nothing” is a November First Friday exhibition of design proposals for the Art Chapel by graduate students at UNL’s College of Architecture. The project is conceived as a community art studio that will provide art programs for adults in the south of downtown neighborhoods, an economically depressed area with few cultural outlets.

Student projects are gathered under the theme of Make “Nothing” and explore architecture’s ability to disarm the viewer through apparent simplicity.

The Art Chapel will be developed through the design-build process of an academic and community-driven collaboration and coordinated through PLAIN-FACT by College of Architecture faculty Jason Griffiths and Jeffery L. Day. The project is planned for construction in 2020-2021 and funded through private donors and grants.

1. Opening: Nov 1, 2019 at 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM
2. Address: 1302 F Street
