If you need access to the university's WiFi network while campus buildings are closed, there are still places you can go. Below is a list of outdoor spots where WiFi coverage spills over from inside the buildings to the surrounding area.
Spillover areas on CITY CAMPUS:
All central commons and garden areas, from Ed Weir track to Q street.
The outdoor area surrounding the Delta Gamma sorority house on 17th and R streets.
Areas around the 18th and S streets recreation courts to the University Health Center.
Outdoor spaces around the Willa Cather Dining Complex, the Vine Street recreation fields, and the Beadle Center and Bioscience Greenhouses.
Spillover areas on EAST CAMPUS:
Courts and lots around the Recreation and Wellness Center.
Outdoor spaces around the East Campus Mall and Heuermann clock areas.
Areas surrounding the gardens and greenhouses from Fair to Center streets.
The Law College parking lot.
Parking lots within these areas will require those using campus WiFi access to do so inside a personal vehicle. To view a highlighted map of spillover areas, visit the Remote Learning section under the "Students" tab on the UNL COVID-19 website.
Inside Spaces
Nebraska Union: Computer lab access is available 24/7 for all current students in the Nebraska Union via Ncard access at the west entrance.
Nebraska East Union: A limited amount of study space and WiFi access is available 24/7 for all current students on the 2nd floor of the Nebraska East Union via Ncard access at the south entrance.
