4-H EGG Cam - Live Candling
hosted by Nebraska Extension in Lancaster County

Lancaster County 4-H EGG Cam allows you and other viewers around the world to witness the amazing process of chicks hatching. Candling is the use of a bright light to shine through an egg to check fertility and embryology development. All ages will enjoy learning about embryo development in this livestreamed animal science experience.

Bingo Night **Virtual Edition**

The spring’s exciting weekly bingo game will continue through the month of June. Nearly 35 people play regularly each week and new players are joining all the time.

Participants are required to RSVP by 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 19, to receive a Zoom link to join the game and receive your BINGO card with a personalized ID number.

Prizes will include gift cards to Valentino’s, University Bookstore and more.

Genealogy over Lunch: Processing Your Family Archive

Genealogy over Lunch is a University Libraries’ group designed to help individuals explore and organize family history, which meets every third Thursday of the month. The group welcomes all faculty, staff and students.

At this month’s Genealogy over Lunch, Mike Hansen, telecommunications analyst from ITS Infrastructure Services, will talk about finding family papers in the attic and what he did to process and preserve them.

Suicide Prevention “Conversession” for Students
hosted by Big Resilience & Well-being
Thursday, May 21, 2020 | 1 to 1:30 p.m. CDT

This session is for students, faculty, and staff who have been through REACH and/or QPR suicide prevention training. In this 15-20 minute conversession (via Zoom), listeners will be encouraged to ask questions they can use to reach out to a friend, student, colleague, and/or family member. The conversession will start with a brief review of suicide warning signs, risk factors, and protective factors. Then, campus-specific resource information will be discussed. (If you haven't yet completed REACH or QPR suicide prevention training, you can request free online access.)
