The University Health Center’s new telehealth home video visits make it easier than ever to access health care whenever and wherever it’s best for you. Telehealth services are available for primary care, mental health medication management, nutrition counseling and physical therapy services.

Here are six reasons to try the new telehealth option:

  1. It’s convenient – No more waiting rooms or commutes. Save time and get the care you need without leaving your dorm room, apartment or home.
  2. It’s private – You can access care with peace of mind, knowing that our video platform is HIPPA compliant and designed specifically to protect patient information.
  3. It’s accurate – Telehealth is an option, not a compromise. Our medical experts ensure accurate diagnosis and treatment virtually.
  4. It’s local – Rest assured knowing that you’re meeting with an experienced University Health Center provider who specializes in college health and knows the ins and outs of the Husker community.
  5. It’s easy – Technical skills aren’t required. Download the Nebraska Medicine app to access your visit from your phone, or log into your One Chart | Patient portal on your computer. Simple, easy-to follow instructions are available on our website.
  6. It’s cost effective – There is no additional cost to students if you access health care virtually rather than in person. Student fees cover telehealth visits for most primary care services. Telehealth visits for mental health medication management, physical therapy and return nutrition counseling appointments are billed at the same rate as an in-person visit. We participate with most major insurance companies, and financial assistance is available to those who qualify.
Appointments are required for telehealth care. Call 402.472.5000 to schedule.
