Engineers Without Borders is hosting a design challenge where participants will work in teams of four to plan and build a community center. If you're not an engineer, no need to fret– all majors are welcome to attend and will be able to complete the challenge with few technical skills.

Whether you are interested in EWB or not, the design challenge will be a valuable learning experience because you will learn the workings of a real-life design process (one that is used by the EWB organization). After planning your community center, each team member will be challenged to build one-fourth of a model of their community center and grounds.

Each team member has the opportunity to win up to $100 in gift cards, provided by the Downtown Lincoln Association. Free dinner and t-shirts will also be provided. The event will be held in the Willa Cather Dining Complex Red Cloud Room A on September 18 from 4–7 p.m. Come and join in on the fun. RSVP using this link– spots are limited.
