Students in the College of Arts and Sciences are invited to celebrate A&S Fest April 9-13. The week, designed to celebrate and appreciate students, will include giveaways and entertainment, including a free movie showing at the Mary Riepma Ross Media Arts Center. Students also can sign up to win gift cards from local restaurants including Noodles and Company and Red Mango, which will be raffled off on Friday, April 13.
A&S Fest is sponsored by the Arts and Sciences Student Advisory Board (SAB).
The schedule of free events and locations follows:
• Monday, April 9 – College of Arts and Sciences T-shirts and pop giveaway (while supplies last) and a scientific demonstration involving a hydrogen balloon, west side of Oldfather Hall, 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
• Tuesday, April 10 – free donuts, orange juice and coffee, west side of Oldfather Hall, 9-11 a.m.
• Wednesday, April 11 – Free popcorn, west side of Oldfather Hall, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Students also are invited to a free showing of “Despicable Me” at the Ross, 313 N. 13th St., at 7 p.m.
• Thursday, April 12: Free pop and cookies, west side of Oldfather Hall, 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
• Friday, April 13: The Arts and Sciences Dean’s Scholars Society will give away root beer floats at the “Parenthesis” sculpture between Burnett and Andrews,12-2 p.m.
