NvolveU debuts new personalized privacy settings

New privacy settings will increase students’ abilities to affiliate privately with Recognized Student Organizations (RSOs) at Nebraska. Beginning January 3, 2022, NvolveU will default to hide organization membership lists and only list designated officers to logged-in members of the university community.

Designated officers will include the president, treasurer, primary programmer, custom organization created leadership roles and the advisor. While visible to the university community, only the primary contact's name is visible to the public.

Officers will continue to have access to their full roster through the Manage Organization page and are asked to keep their profiles visible to expedite organizational payment processes via SOFS. This will also help campus officials quickly identify student leaders and RSOs in compliance.

Members, however, will no longer be listed on the main portal unless they choose to adjust their personal privacy settings. All students will have the ability to manage settings separately for each organization to which they belong.

If you have questions about the NvolveU platform, you can reach out to Melissa Griffith-Phelps at mgphelps@unl.edu.
